Adcole LightScan
Overview

LightScan is an optical measuring device available for the Model 1200-LX, designed
to measure critical camshaft and crankshaft features that help quantify the effectiveness of
processes such as deep rolling, oil hole chamfering and precision grinding. LightScan probes can be arranged in series to measure multiple part features simultaneously.

LightScan’s compact form (18mm diameter) allows for measurements to be carried out in tight spaces that would be inaccessible with other measuring techniques, such as shadowgraph, laser-based 3D scanners and tactile probes. Likewise, the high resolution allows for 3D scanning measurements of small features that are, otherwise, impossible to measure accurately.
